    Good day gang

I woke up late today and took off without my coffee

But I got a pot brewing

I started a facebook account the other day so I could get at pictures a friend in Costa Rica has posted

I really need to work on using the internet less not more. I love the net but I need to spend more time disconnected

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

There wasn't much need to abandon ship. You'd be better off just going to the high side and waiting for rescuers

It kind of looks like the economy might be turning around.
For a while it felt like we were teetering on the edge of doom

One of these days I might even deposit all of the cash I took out of the bank.

Just got off the phone with my retirement advisor for my year end review. She is expecting 2012 to pullback in the early part. So we increased my fixed income holdings from 16% to 30%. Just to be safe. I'm a lot more aggressive with the portfolio I manage on my own. But she is my voice of reason.

BTW: I beat her last year with the portfolio I controlled myself. LOL No risk no reward.

But all that investment talk with her makes me want to buy up some Solazyme. They have discovered a way to grow biofuel algae without sunlight. Once they get the production volume up in 2013 they are forecast to be able to produce a barrel of biofuel for $60 to $80 a barrel. Fossil oil is at $110 a barrel today.

I have been able to grow algae without sunlight for years. Just leave some coffee in your cup over the weekend. When you come back to work on Monday they'll be algae in it. I discovered the technique by accident.

I keep some money in dividend funds and bonds
Most of my money is in cash. It's more fun rolling in it than it is leaving it in the bank getting zero interest
I use about 10% of my money for high risk bets and options.
I'm reading a book about selling covered calls and will mess with that soon.
I wouldn't be surprised if you are right about the economy falling off a cliff and I have my stops pulled in close in case.
But being an election year, the current prez will do anything he can to make the economy look rosey. And so will anyone who wants him to stay in.
But if Europe implodes it will take the stock market with it.
