    Tuesday trials

Good morning HCG. We are having a little fall weather in N. Texas this winter. It has been a mild winter so far. very few days below freezing . It was 44* at 6 AM this morning and a great ride into work. I have that hot cup of coffee in my mitt and digging the day. Ride Safe!

We had 50's yesterday and this morn it was 40 when I left the house. Mild.

All the female sportscasters are getting catty over Giselle's comments. LMFAO! Catfights are fun. Hey! She's a rich, beautiful, supermodel with a NFL QB husband. What's there to be catty about.

I hit the gym last night and picked up some weights and then put them down. Got in a good workout. Didn't strain or tear anything. Got out my superbowl frustrations.
Spring training is coming up soon.

    Good day gang.

I'll be pumping some weight after work. I use the machines. wimpy wimpy

Some times I use free weights because they improve coordination better than machines. But machines are quick and easy.

I'm working on taxes and refinancing again. Last time I tried to refi I couldn't prove my business income.
Once my taxes are filed I will have proof of business income.
Rates went down anyway so It's good I had to wait. These rates are so cheap I'm going for as much as I can get.
Some day these low interest loans will be valuable. I almost certainly won't pay it off early. I might go for the 15 year loan tho. 3.25%

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

Working in the growroom all day. Newly rooted clones comming out of the power cloner that need to be potted. Going to try to get another batch cut and loaded into the power cloner. Got to start ing the 9 that are about to hit harvest. I love working with the plants. Very theraputic. My girlfriend calls the growroom my Zen garden. I get my stereo crankin, a big cold glass of tea, strike up a stogie and get some work done. Everyone has standing orders not to bother me unless the house is on fire or someone is bleeding profusely.

What the hell is a power cloner?
I did about 30 a few weeks ago and all but 2 died.

It was easier in CA. Cold drafts fuck them up.
I'm even using a heating pad and a clear plastic covered starter box.

I had absolutely shit luck with cloning in any type of soil. My grow shop guy showedme how to build a power cloner. Basically it's a tote bin with a bunch of two inch holes drilled into the top (in my case 24). You put the collar cut from a two inch net pot (some grow shops sell just the collars) and into each collar a two inch neoprene insert (available at any grow shop that handles hydroponic supplies). The fresh clone cuttings are placed into the slot in the neoprene inserts and set into the holes in the lid of the tote bin. Inside the tot bin are tubular arms that are run down the middle of the bin paralell to the lid. Into the tubes are screwed little tiny sprayer heads that spray the clone stems and keep them moist untill they sprout enough roots to pot, usually about 10 to 14 days depending on strain. The tubes are connected to a small pumup that sits in the bottom of the tote and pumps a continual stream of water to the sprayers. The 27 gallon tote holds 15 gallons of water mixed with 150ml of Clonex. I will send you specific plans if you wish to build one. They can be buit for about $62 and the parts can be found at either Lowes or home Depot and your local grow shop. It takes about a half hour to build and requires a drill, a 2 inch forstner bit (do not use a hole saw - and DO run the forstner bit in reverse), an 11/64 drill bit and some sort of saw capable of cutting half inch rigid black PVC pipe. One thing to be aware of is that fresh tap water with chlorine or a sythetic decontaminant will kill your clones deader then shit in no time at all. For this reason I keep an extra tote under the table of my grow roon bubbleing while my cloner is doing it's thing and my next batch of water is ready to go as soon as I harvest the previous set of clones. The best way to elliminate this step is to add a simple two stage filter to your water source. Not sure of the micron rationg for the filter but I can check it out. It's refered to in one of the recent High Times. If you're on a municipal water supply chances are you've got chloramine in your tap water. Chloromine is much more stable then chlorine and takes much longer to dissipate. One other good thing to do is to PH balance your cloner water to about 6.8 before putting in clones. Once the clones are in and the thing is running, put it under a T5 fixture and turn off half the bulbs or mute the lighting with some parchment paper and forget all about it for the next 14 days. I have had 100% sucess through about seven or eight clone batches so far. Similar devices sell on Ebay and the internet for anywhere from $150 to $350. You can build the exact same thing for $62.

One thing I have descovered is that if you allow for an extra weeks time in your clone process the clones will go from putting all their energy into growing roots to redirecting it's energy back into growing the greenery. It would seam that once the roots reach the water level it signals the cuttings to make the change back into chloraphile production. You'll know when this happens because the clones will go ape shit with new green growth. if you the pot the new plants into soil or soilless mix the will produce much quicker and hartier groth in during the vegitative stage.

My son and I were thinking of building these and selling them on Ebay for around $120. A price which would best any other similar item out there. I also have a plan for a similar six plant cloner that can be made out of a five gallon bucket.

Let me know if you want plans and I'll send you a more detailed drective along with a bill of materials and local and imternet sources for supplies.

Wow, that's high tech. I used to have great luck cloning but I'm a little rusty.
Plus I think I let a little too much cold draft get to them.
Thanks for the info but I'm just playing around
