    Twofer Tuesday!

Not so loud people, I gotta hangover this morning. I'm getting to old for that Carnival shit!

Coffee and donuts if you want, I'm having a bloody mary. Maybe later...I'll have her sister.
My Golf Swing is so bad, I look like a caveman killing his lunch.

Gooten Morgen Relic, I didn't realize carnival was a big thing over there. Fat Tuesday goes unnoticed here. Back in high school a buddy went to Mardi Gras and got shot in the shoulder. Someone shot a bullet up into the air and with his luck it came down on him.

I feel heavy today. Like gravity is way up. Everybody is got some sort of cold bug at work and I got it starting Sunday. Cold viruses settle into my chest like bronchitis. And I feel achy. I'll treat this with coffee.

Sun came up at 6:19 here. So enjoy your Fat Tuesday.

Ahh yes, two days to go until my vacation begins.
Upper 80s and sunny for 10 days in Costa Rica.

I'm going to start setting up our December trip. I'm thinking Ecuador and Galapagos. We'll see.

I often wonder if I should quit or fire myself. For now I'm taking the money and taking lots of vacation.

I almost cut my hair, it happened just the other day.
It was gettin' kinda long, I could've said it was in my way.
But I didn't and I wonder why, I feel like letting my freak flag fly

I just got back to work last week, for the first time this year
I had some type of mystery virus, throwing at least 10 times a day for 2 weeks, dropped 18 lbs.
    Still not 100%.
Luckily for me the I work for a small company and they took care of me all the time I was out.
The owner of my Company and the CEO of my company both sit on the Board of Directors for a major Hospital in the Boston area. I was fast tracked to all of the top notch doctors available, even the owners personal doctor.
hope to get completely back on my feet in a couple of weeks.

    Take care of yourself blavoie

I hear there are a lot of antibiotic resistant viruses going around

Sounds like you are in good hands

wow glad to hear you're on the mend blavoie. Its a tough way to lose weight.

There ain't much they can do with viruses other than treat the symptoms. Antibiotics kill bacteria not viruses. Doctors have prescribed antibiotics like candy and as a result some of the bacteria have become resistant. Like MRSA. Its convoluted but it has to do with evolutionary theory. Bacteria evolve very fast.

Some scientists at MIT's Lincoln labs have developed a vaccine that may kill off all double stranded RNA viruses by screwing with its RNA. They call it DRACO. But it is still being tested. If it works the cool thing is that the vaccine not only kills the cold virus but ebola, herpes and most other viruses that use a double RNA strand. Imagine getting one shot and being immune from most virus borne illnesses like malaria. This is revolutionary. My son is in biotechnology and we want to invest in this technology. All we got to do is live long enough to live forever.

    http://www.ll.mit.edu/news/DRACO.html

Excerpts: "DRACO selectively induces apoptosis, or cell suicide, in cells containing any viral dsRNA, rapidly killing infected cells without harming uninfected cells. As a result, DRACO should be effective against virtually all viruses, rapidly terminating a viral infection while minimizing the impact on the patient. "
