    Low charging voltage

I have noticed when the temps get into the 80's that my voltage sometimes when I stop at a light will go down to 11.5-12 volts until I take off again or give it some gas. It usually idles at 12.7 and runs around 13.5 and I have never noticed it below 12 volts when it is cool outside. I'm thinking about buying a new Regulator. What do you think?

Could be it, but you won't know for sure until you unplug it and run a stator output test.

Yea I would do some investigating before buying any parts. Check the stator for any black or burned wires first, good indication of a bad stator. If even a few coils on it are burned or shorted that could cause lower voltage then 12.5v

that should be putting out around 14.5 volts if I recall, battery should be above 12 volts with the bike off

Regulator output should be 14.5-14.8. Fully charged battery 13.

I have an oil leak and need to take the primary off anyway so I'll check the Stator while I got it off.
