    Need serious help !!!!!!!

OK everyone I am pretty handy with a wrench when it comes to my scoot. I have a 2000 fxst and recently on a trip to south Dakota my bike starting acting real funny. I rode from St Paul MN to Souix Falls SD and when I got to Souix Falls this is what happened.
When throttling up bike acts normal have all the power I had however when trying to maintain a cruising speed my engine seems like and sounds like 1 of the cylinders is missing.
Compression test front jug 117 psi
Rear jug 117.5 so I have consistent compression in both cylinders.
I am at a loss here so any advice would be much appreciated.
I am thinking possible ignition issue I know the crane ignition have a lot of problems but that is my best guess. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
    Best regards,
    1 frustrated biker

So what it is doing wide is when I am just cruising doesn't matter 40mph, 60 mph if I just try and hold my speed steady it feels and sounds as if a cylinder is missing.... now I am also thinking it may be crank position sensor but I am not sure just trying to reach out to more seasoned wrenches than myself for some advice !

there might just be some crap in the carb messing up the slow jet since that is what you are running on most of the time unless you are running 3/4 throttle or more

Have to determine if it is fuel or electrical first and foremost.

I didn't even think about the slow jet.... hmm mm good looking out thanks for the advice.... gonna test the coil with test light and also check the crank position sensor as well seeing as how I have my scoot apart as far as I do...

Can any one tell me if they too think 117 psi is to low of a compression ? Seems to me that I should be up around 130 to 140 psi
