    Made it back from SoCal

I had a great time visiting with my brother.

We went back to the lookout in Topanga Canyon. I've been there many times but this time we stopped and read the signs.
The platform is actually some military platform that used to be used to shoot down Russian jets with a laser.

It's been out of commission since the 60s.

The view wasn't that great because of sea haze but I could see downtown Los Angeles, Palos Verdes, the ocean, the San Fernando Valley and the mountains. On a clear day you can see Catalina Island too.

The road was open up to the tower too. But we hiked it anyway for exercise, fresh air and sun. I need to hike more. We used to hike in the mountains all the time.

I guess it was a missile tower. I don't know why the signs also talked about lasers.

We had those missile silos back east

At this address you can still see roads to the basecamp, we used to try get near it and army would stand there with big guns watching us

They had super armed guards untill 1980 or so. There was an huge underground launch hole

    Just google this address

    41.055516, -73.928260

Hey congrats on the good news Wide!

Yeah there are some Nike silos around here somewhere. I guess they built nuclear silos back in the day before they got into athletic shoes.

I think I saw a thing on TV where some guy bought a silo and converted it into living space.

Hey Wide I saw this accident that happened out in CA over the weekend. A Sequoia sheared a Malibu in half. The driver survived!!
