Good morning. It's so nice and cool here this morning just makes you want to lean back in the chair and take a nap. Laziness is just a screw it thought away.

Same here. It's sunny but low humidity. Just perfect.

Great weather in my corner too.
    I'm loving hiking around here.
A friend from Seattle is visiting next weekend and we have a hike planned.
I worked with him in Los Angeles in the early 80s and we've kept in touch since. Its good to keep up with old friends.
I bought my 1975 Ducati 860 from him.

Are you near the mountains? Would be interesting to hike around Mt. St. Helens. It's good you still hike. My knees are shot and can't do that anymore. Maybe if I stay on the flatlands but definitely no mountains.

There are mountains here WP. The Columbia River created a huge gorge from water rushing down the mountains. And there are many smaller rivers that feed int the Columbia river. They create ravines that are a mile deep. There are trails in the walls of the ravines that follow the rivers. There are tons of boulders and waterfalls and cliffs.
I rode my bike to Mount St Helen when I lived in Washington. I hear there are caves there and I'd like to check that out.

Sounds awesome. The mountains here were formed by glaciers in the ice age. They gouged out the mountains and deposited the fertile topsoil down into the Conn. valley. I think the mountains in Washington were volcanic formations. Then us humans showed up 100,000 years later none the wiser. LOL

I assumed the gouges were formed by the rivers but maybe glaciers formed these too. A assume glaciers or rivers take the path of least resistance. Now the rivers wear away the bottom and cause the walls to fall into the river. Then the river washes everything including huge boulders down stream. It is awesome.
