    Monday

Morning all. It's Columbus Day! What do you do to celebrate it? Go out on a boat? I'm just going to go to work...

I'm working too. But traffic was light. Perfect.

Didn't the Vikings discover America a century before Columbus. Eric the Red.

    Morning all

Happy Columbus day we had a parade back in NYC

Cool as heck last night a rocket launch, it separated right over our house and one part returned and landed. Was like the biggest fireworks we ever seen, heres a video but from someone far away. By us it took up half the sky and we could here it, was like daylight during this

I bet it was cool as hell. When i was a kid we used to build these model rockets from a company called Estes. They had solid fuel propellant engines. You quickly learned that the fancy expensive ones didn't go as fast or as high as the cheap lightweight ones. We built the small light ones and modified them to take the engines for the big heavy ones. We also built our own launchers and put in an extra battery that we wired in parallel to get more amps. The igniter was a tiny piece of wire inserted into the rocket engine that was hooked to the batteries. The parallel wiring doubled the amperage so when we hit the switch the igniter got red hot instantly. Useful on the ones we had multiple engines on. LOL

I'm still amazed they let kids build those things without any permits or licenses required. They were basically surface to air missiles.
