    Harley Part need Identification

I have a 2002 Harley Fatboy with carburator (not FI). I was taking it apart to get the fenders painted and a new rear tire put on the bike. As I was putting it all back together I found a small rubber piece on the garage floor. For the life of me I can't figure out where it fits on the bike. Can anyone out there help ID this part and tell me where it fits on the bike? Picture is enclosed Thanks Mike

No idea. You said it's rubber so my guess is it's some type of bumper. Either to plug a hole or to absorb shock. try looking under the seat and see if there's a place to cushion the seat from rubbing on the sheet metal fender. Or the kickstand bumper. Floorboard isolation plug(looks to long for that). But I'm guessing.

Yes the bike still runs fine and no major rattling but I'd still like to figure it out, if anyone knows what the part is for. Thanks again. Mike

That looks like the rubber bumper in the rear caliper that is located between the caliper and swingarm.
