    thursday thirsty thursday

    Howdy ever body.

This whole week at work has been crazy flat out. I think I just figured out why. The owners have another board meeting next week in FL and then some of them head of for vacation. So they're trying to get a bunch of stuff this week!! Some of it's stupid stuff like trying to move meetings around at the last minute.

I won't miss this crap when I retire. Plus we all got to start packing for a move to a new building we're constructing. it's almost done and we should move in mid Sept. I hate movin.

The good news is the market has been up 18% so far this year. All the gurus said that the first half of the year was going to be flat! If you got a 401(k) plan at work you're doing well so far this year.

Think Im taking today off and just putz around the house with the dogs
Father in law in home from hospital all is well so no need for 2 -3 hour drives to the valley

Staying in the market until dow hits 30k then yanking it all out unless the economy is booming. Anyway 30k major restructuring for me. Figure once it hits 30 it will drop back down to 27 28 ans stay there a few years

    Hi all,
Yeah, thinking about moving some money around, hell I know a few banks that will pay 5% if you keep 100k in a savings account. I have another savings account that I keep more money that is in between going elsewhere that pays me 2.5% local banks barely pay 1%
Not sure, but I do have some stock that will stay long term like my Exxon and all the little shiting ones that I have from back when ma bell got split up, think I got about 10 different stocks from that, get these tiny dividend Checks from that are more a pain in the ass than anything

5% from a bank is good nowadays. Most banks pay out around 1%

They charge you 17% on a credit card and pay out 1%. LOL

Poor guy was working underneath his jeep when the earthquake hit.

I have to think this must happen a lot. Also people working on a ladder when a quake strikes must get hurt too. How about folks just getting lasik surgery when a quake strikes. Or any kind of surgery?!
