Someone here posted a message saying a V-Rod needed to have it valves adjusted every 10,000 miles. I don't know if that's true, but I did find a web site that listed the cost of a V-Rod 10,000 miles service as $1,250, as opposed to a Twin-Cam88 Touring bike at $400.
another site lists TC-88 labor only:
Tell me it ain't so. I was just starting to like the V-Rod. But, there is no f---ing way I want to pay anything like $1,000 every 10,000 miles -- I average almost 36,000 miles a year!
I do most all of my maintenance on my TC88 Harleys -- but you have "drop" the V-Rod engine out of its frame to do the valves. Doesn't sound like something I will be doing.
What's the story with V-Rod maintenance cost guys?
$1250.00 for a tuning a Porsche engine is cheap.

Okay, I found the service rates for Myrtle Beach HD:
They show 10,000 mile service on a V-Rod is less than $500 -- and yes the valves are adjusted every 10k miles.
